Personal profile

Dr. Weiyan Jian is a Research Professor and Doctoral Advisor at the School of Public Health, Peking University, serving as Assistant Dean of the School and Director of the Department of Health Policy and Management. He is selected for the National Youth Talent Program in China and serves on multiple expert panels, including the China Healthcare Security Diagnosis-Related Groups (CHS-DRG) Pilot Program under the National Healthcare Security Administration. He is also a member of the Expert Committee on the Professionalization of Public Hospital Directors under the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, and an appointed expert at the National Institute of Hospital Administration.

Additionally, Dr. Jian serves as Deputy Chair of the Expert Committee of the National Center for Quality Control of Nursing Management, as well as Deputy Chair and Standing Committee Member in various branches of professional societies, including the China Association of Health Promotion and Education. He has been the principal investigator on over 80 projects, covering major projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), policy research, and international cooperation. Besides, he has published over 180 academic papers, and contributed to 8 nationally designated textbooks and 10 monographs in health policy and management.
