Research Grant

Ministry of Education Fund   2017-2018

Project number: 2017YB103

Flipped-classroom practice and evaluation based on the MOOC of Genetic Epidemiology

Role: Principal Investigator

Beijing Natural Science Fund 2017-2019

Project number: 7172115

Risk prediction of non-syndromic oral clefts among Chinese populations using GWAS and sequencing data

Role: Principal Investigator

National Natural Science Fund   2016-2019

Project number: 81573225

Understanding the genetic architecture of non-syndromic oral clefts among Chinese population through pathway analysis and targeted exon sequencing

Role: Principal Investigator

This project is proposed to identify genetic variants, especially are and de novo variants, influencing the risk of nonsyndromic oral cleft among Chinese populations by conducting targeted exon sequencing. The potential biologic pathways with potential causal genes and significant interactions, as well as high-priority candidates identified in previous GWASs will be used to prioritize the target regions for sequencing analysis.

Chinese Medical Board Fund      2014-2015

Project number: 13-171

The start-up fund for development of massive open online course (MOOC) in Epidemiology

Role: Principal Investigator

Project number: 13-171

The developed MOOC was launched on Coursera in September and Icourse in November 2014. More than three thousand online learners registered the MOOC.

Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission Fund  2015-2017

Acute Coronary Syndrome Pre-hospital Management

Role: Principal Investigator of the sub-project on evaluation of community-based intervention program

We will conduct a community-based intervention program to improve the awareness of acute coronary syndrome among the residents. Evaluation will be performed to explore the effect of the intervention.

PUSHC Education and Teaching Grant   2012-2015

Evaluation of the bilingual course Fundamental Epidemiology

Role: Principal Investigator

We conduct an evaluation on a bilingual course Fundamental Epidemiology as an elective course targeting at undergraduate students.

National Natural Science Fund   2011-2014

81102178 $36,000

The genome wide association study of non-syndromic oral clefts in Chinese populations using case parent trios design

This grant is designed to perform analysis on Chinese samples of a GWAS study to explore genetic risk factors of non-syndromic oral cleft using case-parent trio design.
